Here are some pictures that may help you get started with EJB.
Application servers house EJB containers, which in turn house EJBs[1].
The EJB Container contains any or all of these beans.
The following files are part of a Session Bean.
EJBs are typically bundled into archive files, processed by a deployment tool, and then deployed into the EJB container[1].
